The LFP is targeting 2 million subscribers at 30 euros per month for its channel (yes yes)

Plan B looks more and more like plan A, and above all like a plan that makes us wonder how it can work. While the Professional Football League is still looking for a broadcaster for the next five Ligue 1 seasons, commercial company LFP Media presented this Friday to the board of directors the business plan imagined for the 100% Ligue 1 channel which it intends to set up if the situation cannot be resolved.

2 million subscribers, really?

According to The Team, the price of the subscription, which had been announced at 25 euros per month, would actually cost 30 euros, because VAT must be added. Rather optimistically, LFP Media plans to attract a little over 2 million subscribers with this offer in the first year. Which is reminiscent of the objectives displayed at the time by Mediapro, for the fiasco that we ultimately experience.

While the Ligue 1 calendar was revealed this Friday, with the first day scheduled for the weekend of August 17, the LFP has less than two months left to find a broadcaster or launch its channel. If the second option becomes an obligation, we are very curious to know if these forecasts can be achieved. The clubs a little less, surely.
