The health pass will be required for adults from Monday to access stores and shopping centers of more than 20,000 m2 as well as restaurants and bars, health services and establishments – except in an emergency – or to rail and air transport, according to a decree published this Sunday in Official newspaper.
Adults must present a health pass to access a certain number of public places or to participate as a visitor, client, spectator or passenger in places, events or establishments listed in decree 2021-1059 dated Saturday. To be valid, a pass must state a screening dating back “less than seventy-two hours” – antigenic test or self-test -, a “proof of vaccination status” or a certificate of recovery after having contracted the Covid-19. It has already been required in places of cultivation since the end of July.
From August 30 for some and some employees
“In the absence of presentation of one of these documents, access to the establishment, place, service or event is refused, except for people justifying a medical contraindication to vaccination” , states the decree. These measures will also be applicable “from August 30, 2021, to employees, public officials, volunteers and other people who work in the places, establishments, services or events concerned, when their activity takes place in the spaces and at the times when they are are accessible to the public, with the exception of delivery activities and except emergency response ”, adds the text.
The decree sets the rules for entering a hospital or other place of care. The health pass will not be requested for emergencies. On the other hand, it will be compulsory for people who come for scheduled care, note The Parisian. There are two exceptions: if the head of the service or his representative is of the opposite opinion, and if the absence of a pass is “likely to prevent the patient from accessing healthcare within a period of time useful for his proper care”.
The decree also specifies that wearing a mask “may be made compulsory by the department prefect when local circumstances justify it, as well as by the operator or the organizer”. In law, the mask is not mandatory default anywhere, except in transport. Finally, we know what are the medical contraindications to vaccination that make it possible to dispense with a health pass. A certificate will be given to them by their doctor, according to The Parisian.
