Pierre-Charles Boudot is in turmoil. Already targeted by an investigation for rape, the French jockey was indicted Wednesday, after the complaint of a second young woman who would have been the victim of the same procedure. The one who notably won the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in 2019 “categorically denies” these accusations.

Triple gold flat whip (2015, 2016, 2020), Pierre-Charles Boudot, considered one of the best jockeys in the world, was indicted for rape and placed under the status of assisted witness for witness tampering , as part of a judicial investigation opened Wednesday by the Senlis prosecutor’s office after 48 hours of police custody. Another jockey was indicted for not denouncing a crime.

“Black holes” and “flashes”

The facts go back to the night of February 17 to 18 in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the Alpes-Maritimes, on the sidelines of a horse racing meeting, according to the complainant, a young adult woman “exercising the profession of training rider “, According to the prosecution. Recorded in the city of the alleged facts, the complaint gave rise to the opening of a preliminary investigation by the prosecution of Senlis, the jockey residing in Chantilly in the Oise.

“My client, a 25-year-old woman, went to a party. It is very likely that he was made to drink or inoculated products to nullify his consent. She has flashes, large holes, times when her body was no longer responding, ”explained his lawyer, Me Justine Devred, on Monday. “There was already a first victim, there is a second. It’s the same way of proceeding, the same kind of context, pretty girls, black holes, flashes, ”she reacted on Wednesday. The day before took place a confrontation between his client and the jockey.

“A perfectly accepted relationship” according to the jockey

“Pierre-Charles Boudot’s determination is greater than ever. He categorically denies the facts, ”declared his lawyer, Me Florence Gaudillière. She further added that he “filed a criminal complaint with the conviction that this new denunciation was orchestrated to serve as a support for the first”. According to Me Devred, the jockey would have claimed to have had “a perfectly agreed relationship” with his client. He is also already the target of another rape complaint, which he also denies, for facts dating back to August 2015 in Deauville. In this other case, he is placed under the status of assisted witness.

The company France Galop, organizer of races, said Wednesday evening to have “urgently pronounced a precautionary measure of immediate suspension of the authorization to ride [de Pierre-Charles Boudot] for the next two days ”and wait for a longer term decision. She also announced that she was going to be a civil party “to have access to the file within the framework of the protection of the image of the races”.
