No surprise. The investigation into the charges of incest concerning the political scientist Olivier Duhamel was dismissed because of “prescription”, indicates on Monday the Paris prosecutor’s office. Camille Kouchner accused her stepfather of raping his twin brother when he was a teenager, in the 1980s, in his book La familia Grande, published in January.
In a press release, the prosecution explains that “following the revelations contained in the book La familia grande implicating Mr. Olivier DUHAMEL for acts of sexual abuse, the Paris prosecutor’s office carried out, on January 5, 2021, a preliminary investigation of the counts of rape of a minor of fifteen years by person in authority, rape by person in authority, sexual assault on a fifteen-year-old minor by a person with authority and sexual assault by a person with authority ”.
The Paris public prosecutor’s office indicates that “this reason for classification is retained when the facts revealed or denounced in the procedure constitute an offense which would have given rise to prosecution by the public prosecutor’s office if the time limit set by law had not been exceeded”.
