A couple of managers of a reception hall in the Var where a wedding was being prepared were found dead on Saturday by a caterer and his employee in Tourves, near Brignoles. “The first findings made it possible to establish the death of the owner and his wife, aged 65 and 63, respectively, by several firearm impacts,” said the Draguignan prosecutor’s office on Sunday, who visited the site.
“It also appeared that their room had been searched and that a small safe was open.” The extent of the area and the house makes the findings long while investigators are still proceeding “at this time, the analysis of the crime scene,” said the prosecution. For the moment no thesis is privileged but the hypothesis of a burglary which turns badly is not excluded.
