The Football Club of Hyères 83 has announced its intention to file a complaint against its counterpart of the Union Saint-Estève Espoir Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole. The epilogue of a controversial meeting – finally won on penalties by the Varois – and of bittersweet exchanges between the two clubs which preceded their opposition.
The Varois had requested and obtained, from the French Federation, the relocation of the match of the 8th round of the Coupe de France which opposed the two clubs. Initially planned on the lawn of the Aloès stadium, the usual ground of the Catalan club of Regional 1, it was finally held on another stadium, in Perpignan. According to the leaders of the Pyrénées-Orientales club, the residents of Nationale 2 would have presented the lawn as “a potato field” to request the change of pitch.
A legal action?
The Var residents believe that the integrity of the players was put in danger at the end of the match: “Serious incidents took place at the end of the match with an invasion of the lawn by individuals close to the club and leaders (volunteers) who came to fight with our players, ”they explain in a press release published on their social networks. “The club filmed the entire scene and will send a copy to the FFF shortly. Filing of a complaint will be made, the leaders of Saint-Estève will be asked for the security measures that were taken other than volunteer security officers for a match that a president had sought to degenerate all week. »

Until then, on the ground, Hyères will have another nicer meeting with the reception (in Toulon) of Marseille in the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France.
