The grande dame of the district CSU is dead – Starnberg

The grande dame of the district CSU, Ingrid Frömming, is dead. The politician died at the age of 90. Ingrid Frömming was the first female district chairwoman of the CSU in Bavaria. “With her we lose a pioneer in terms of democracy and equality. A sad day for the CSU,” the district association posted on Facebook. “We will miss them very much”. Frömming was born in East Prussia and was a member of the Herrsching municipal council for many years. She was also a district councilor and deputy for many years to the recently deceased former district administrator Heinrich Frey. In addition, the passionate hunter, who lived in Herrsching, was also a member of the district council for many years. It was her last political office. She resigned in October 2003. In 1998 she also founded the Friends of the Seefeld Hospital, which she handed over to Herrsching Mayor Christian Schiller before her 85th birthday in 2016. Ingrid Frömming took part in the political life of the district of Starnberg to the end.
