Behind the horror and the investigation, there remains the pain of loved ones. The funeral of Shemseddine, 15, who died after being beaten in front of his school in Viry-Châtillon on April 4, will take place this Tuesday, April 9.
It is in Savigny-sur-Orge that they will take place. At 1:50 p.m., a prayer will take place before his burial in the Morsang-sur-Orge cemetery.
A pot to help the family
In order to “provide financial assistance for funeral costs”, a fundraiser was launched by the deceased’s aunt. “Shemseddine was a young 15-year-old boy full of life, always happy and funny, we wish to accompany him with dignity to his final resting place. Thank you for your generosity and your understanding”, writes “sa aunt” on the dedicated site.
In addition to Shemseddine’s funeral, a white march is planned, indicated on BFM TV Jean-Marie Vilain, mayor of the city of Essonne. It is planned for this coming Friday, April 12.
As a reminder, Shemseddine was allegedly beaten to death for having corresponded with a 15-year-old girl. This Sunday, four people were indicted for murder. Two of the suspects (a 20-year-old adult and a minor) were imprisoned while two other minors are temporarily incarcerated.
