Sder announces Corona plans: This is how the nationwide resolutions will be implemented in Bavaria

Following the talks, Prime Minister Markus Sder made a statement, how the Free State will implement the resolutions. Sder emphasized that the incidence in Bavaria, in contrast to other federal states, has already fallen. The situation in the clinics is still serious, which is why the resolutions from the federal-state meeting are being implemented in this way.

According to the Prime Minister, this will not change much in Bavaria. The Bavarian cabinet wants to scrutinize one point at the Friday meeting. Here are the changes at a glance:

  • Contact restrictions for unvaccinated people are tightened: Meetings in private or public spaces are limited to your own household and two other people. But this does not only apply to unvaccinated people. As soon as a person who has neither been vaccinated nor recovered is present, the rule applies to everyone present. Children under the age of 14 are exempt from the restriction.
  • 2G in retail: Only those who have been vaccinated or have recovered are allowed into shops, with the exception of everyday shops such as supermarkets. The dealers should check the relevant evidence themselves.
  • Private celebrations: Collaborations between those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are also restricted. Private celebrations are in “high-traffic areas” maximum 50 people permitted. The Free State takes this upper limit from the federal-state resolutions. According to these, the rule applies in regions with an incidence greater than 350; finds a celebration outdoors instead, wren maximum 200 people permitted.
  • Ghost games: When playing football in the Free State are no spectators more allowed. The Bavarian cabinet wants to implement the new rule for the coming weekend (December 4th and 5th, 2021).
  • New Year’s Eve: There should be a nationwide ban on the sale of fireworks. In addition, the municipalities are to order bans on blaring in public or particularly popular places. Assembly bans are also possible.
  • Extension of the measures: The Infection Protection Act will be adjusted again, so that the current measures will also be possible beyond December 15. Sder has announced that the previous rules in Bavaria will then likely be extended – but not tightened again.
