At Easter, St. Peter’s Square is transformed into a sea of flowers. The colorful decoration of tens of thousands of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, roses and orchids is a sign of resurrection and life, this year the floral splendor is being organized by the Dutch Frisian Church in Rome. Against this backdrop, Pope Francis celebrates the solemn Easter service. Erste and BR Fernsehen will broadcast the service and the blessing “Urbi et Orbi” from 10 a.m. Monsignor Erwin Albrecht and Elisabeth Möst comment.
