The EU supply chain law threatens to fail – Economy

Many European companies benefit from the fact that some of their suppliers pay cheap wages abroad and treat their employees badly. In principle, business and politics agree that working conditions along the supply chain should be humane. But there is a big gap between claim and reality. When it comes to practical implementation, opinions differ. This is becoming clear ahead of the forthcoming vote on the EU Parliament’s draft on due diligence in supply chains.
