The Ethereum network has been unable to fully verify transactions for about 25 minutes. Developers have fixed the issue and are investigating what caused the crash.
Ethereum core developers are investigating this issue. Similar issues have occurred in the past from errors in the client-software running the blockchain.

After about 25 minutes, mainnet was finalizing blocks again, and the developers say they are still investigating what caused the crash. and will report back to the community soon.
