Barbara Wussow is absent from the “land shoot” for the new “Traumschiff” episode “due to illness”. The script has been adjusted.

All aboard? The “dream ship” leaves again and starts with four new episodes for 2023. The ZDF television series about the crew of the luxury liner has been delighting viewers since 1981. Hotel director Hanna Liebhold is an integral part of the series, but she of all people is currently canceled, as the broadcaster now confirms.

Actress Barbara Wussow (61), who has been hotel director Hanna Liebhold since 1997 and has been one of the main actresses since 2018, “cannot take part in the current country shoot due to illness,” ZDF confirms to the news portal “t-online”.

“Dream Ship” script has already been adjusted

But fans of the “Dream Ship” can breathe easy. The script has already been adapted and hotel manager Hanna Liebhold does not have to be without. “The shooting on board the MS Amadea took place in November/December 2022 with Barbara Wussow,” the broadcaster announced, adding: “The script has been adjusted, a reshoot is not necessary”.

As usual, Wussow will be seen alongside Florian Silbereisen (41), who has played the role of Captain Max Parger since 2019, and his crew on the TV cruise ship.

Where is the journey going? Actress Esther Schweins (52) revealed this with a photo on Instagram backstage. Filming is currently in full swing in Namibia. A broadcast date for the new episode, which will be filmed under the working title “Walfischbay”, has not yet been set.
