“The Discounters”
Start date for fourth season is set
The start date for the fourth season of “The Discounters” has been set. After the release of the final episodes, the fans have to be strong.
Good and bad news for all fans of “The Discounter”. The fourth season of the mockumentary will premiere at the end of November. The last episodes of the season will be available to watch on Amazon Prime in December. After that, the series will go on an indefinite hiatus.
On November 27th, the team from Feinkost Kolinski and branch manager Torsten (Marc Hosemann, 54) will return. Prime members will initially be able to access six new episodes. A further four episodes will follow on December 23rd, as Amazon Prime Video announced on Tuesday (September 24th). Fans should plan their episodes carefully, because after that they will have to do without new “discounter” stories for a while. “After three years of shifts at Feinkost Kolinski, it’s time for the team around branch manager Torsten to take a sabbatical – ‘The Discounters’ is taking a break after season four,” the announcement says.
“Try other materials”
“For us, ‘The Discounters’ is not just a series, it has also become our life to a large extent,” explain the series creators Bruno Alexander and Oskar and Emil Belton in a joint statement. After four years of continuous power on “The Discounters,” the trio, who are also behind the comedy series “Intimate.”, would like to “try out other material again.” The mockumentary has become a cult series and a crowd favorite, says Christoph Schneider, Prime Video Country Director DACH. We wish the production team all the best in their upcoming projects and “The Discounters” will “always have a place in the Prime Video family and we are excited to see what the future holds.”
Fourth season of “The Discounters”: That’s what it’s about
In the fourth season, Kolinski Billstedt is finally in the black and Torsten (Hosemann) is about to be promoted. Pina (Klara Lange) hopes that this will give her the chance to finally become the official branch manager. Meanwhile, chaos reigns in the team: Titus (Bruno Alexander) is homesick for Billstedt while working in the Eppendorf branch and the relationship status between him and Lia (Marie Bloching) is still “it’s complicated”. Audience favorite Jonas (Merlin Sandmeyer) is shaking up the market and the team as usual with his Jonas actions.
In addition to Hosemann, Lange, Alexander, Bloching and Sandmeyer, Ludger Bökelmann (Peter), rapper Nura Habib Omer (Flora), David Ali Rashed (Sammy), Doris Kunstmann (Mrs. Jensen) and Wolfgang Michael (Wilhelm) are also returning. There will also be some guest appearances.
