As Bitcoin (BTC) turns 14 years old, the global Crypto community is celebrating in different ways. Some even choose to send BTC to wallet addresses that are rewarded for mining Genesis blocks.
On January 3, 2009, Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto mined the Genesis block, leading to the creation of the first 50 BTC, paving the way for the entire industry to be developed.
Some people in the community even tip the creator of Bitcoin by sending a small amount of BTC to his wallet address. Currently, a large number of people are sending Bitcoins to such accounts. This brings the total balance to 68.56 BTC which is worth $1.1 million at the time of writing.
