The Council of State suspends the dissolution of the “Palestine Action Committee”

The Council of State on Friday suspended the execution of the decree of dissolution of the “Palestine Action Committee” pronounced in March by the Ministry of the Interior which accused this association of “incitement to hatred, discrimination, violence” and “incitement to terrorist acts”.

The measure of dissolution had been taken by decree in the Council of Ministers on March 9. It was announced on February 24, a few hours before the annual dinner of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (Crif), by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.

The pro-Palestinian association, based in the south of France, then seized the Council of State for interim measures. This measure of dissolution “carries a serious and manifestly illegal attack on the freedom of association and the freedom of expression”, writes in its decision the highest French administration.
