AWhen the “Occam” cinema in Schwabing was history – the operator Fritz Falter had been given notice by the brewery, his landlord – the cinema fanatics unscrewed the folding chairs after the last screening in 1970 and carried them in a demonstration along Münchner Freiheit to Wilhelmstrasse. They hoped that the city would let them use the former tram depot as a new cinema. But the city didn’t do that. And so the “Occam” was history.
