Justice suspects this caregiver of having imposed oral sex on a resident of the Kervénanec nursing home, in Lorient (Morbihan), in which he had recently been working. Aged 95, the victim could not be heard, his condition not allowing it, specifies the prosecutor of the Republic of Lorient Stéphane Kellenberger. She was said to be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
The facts would have taken place on October 31 in the evening. The respondent “exercising recent nursing duties” was surprised by one of his colleagues “while he was in the room of an elderly resident”, adds the magistrate. According to the witness, “he seemed to be in the process of imposing oral sex on her”.
No criminal record
Alerted, the police arrested the suspect and placed him in custody. Unknown to the legal services, the caregiver denied the facts. At the end of his indictment, he was placed in pre-trial detention by the judge of freedoms and detention, “in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution”, specifies the prosecutor. The families of the retirement home will be received by the municipality of Lorient this Thursday.
