One can content oneself with one of the very reasonably priced breakfast offers. The mini or the maxi, the French or the special version. Jam, fresh, crisp rolls, sausage, cheese, butter, everything was great. A coffee is included, and you are free to choose which one you would like: normal brewed, cappucino, espresso, latte macchiato. But when you sit in front of the huge display case that almost takes up the width of the store and let your gaze wander over the incredibly large selection, then you get the very good idea of ​​putting together your own breakfast or coming back for brunch soon.

The big advantage of the delicacies in this showcase: They are all very small. And so there is more opportunity to try different things. There are, for example, the canapés with salmon, the mini quiches, the mini pretzels and mini rolls topped with all kinds of things, the wraps and the small portions of Bircher muesli. That could be a first course for hungry people. But don’t eat too much, because the display case will be in the Lang Cafeserie for a long time, run by Rudolf Lang and his daughter Michaela. The colorful cakes are lined up right next to the hearty little things. Plump strawberries are enthroned on inviting pasta, a huge tray full of strudel. Okay, these things are more likely to be saved for drinking coffee at home. But next to it, on the far right, there are still wonderful breakfast additions to the second latte: mini croissants, mini chocolate croissants and small snails, which definitely still fit in.

In all these things lies the craftsmanship of the owner Rudolf Lang, a trained confectioner, and his eight employed confectioners. Just above the café in the same building, everything you see in the store is made in-house. Both the row of large and small chocolate Easter bunnies on the counter, the chocolate Easter eggs that you can take away in bags, and the ice cream in the extra display case. And that’s exactly what Rudolf Lang is rightly proud of, that’s the trademark of his cafe series. Why is it called that? Because it’s not just a classic café, you can also just have lunch there. Four to eight different varieties of tarte flambée are well-known. And if you feast your way through all the different offers at the right time, then you can even be lucky and meet one or the other celebrity who is also a regular guest here. But who will not be revealed.
