It is a sad discovery that took place on December 31, on the first floor of a building on rue Gambetta, a shopping street in Libourne, in Gironde. The fire brigade was called because of a water leak which concerned the business on the ground floor, report this Wednesday South West. They were forced to force open the door to the first-floor apartment to deal with the leak and discovered a mummified body that had been lying in a bed, for two to three years according to experts’ estimates.
The body is probably that of the septuagenarian who occupied this apartment and was not listed in the files of the municipal center for social action. It is still unclear what are the reasons why no one noticed his absence. In any case, it seems that the majority of his bills were paid automatically.
