The body of a woman shot dead was found early this Saturday morning in Montpon-Ménestérol in the Dordogne. According to information from France Bleu Périgord, a garbage collector discovered the body, around 6 a.m., in the parking lot opposite the cemetery, northwest of the city. The Périgueux prosecutor’s office has opened a murder investigation.
Two people in custody
Two people were arrested and are in custody this Saturday morning, including the suspected shooter. They would have spent the evening with the victim and would have explained having wanted to test a bulletproof vest.
The victim is a Montponnaise in her forties. According to the mayor of the town, she was the mother of two children.
The two men arrested and currently in police custody belong to a marginal environment.
