The best party nights for autumn: This is what’s going on in the Munich clubs – Munich

When Benedikt Wiessmeier and Jakob Döring released their first album as Slaughterhouse Bronx published, it was hardly foreseeable where the path of the two Munich-based artists would lead. This debut got so wild that almost anything between an electronically based fundamental renewal of Bavarian folk music and Balkan beats on steroids seemed conceivable. 15 years later, the producer duo, who have long been well-connected internationally, have nothing to do with folk music or Balkan beats – but have crossed the bass music-wide world of sound system culture between countries like Jamaica, Brazil and Angola several times and captured it on four more albums .

The two will now meet at the Rote Sonne on October 12th alongside the Munich DJ collective Busy Bandulu Sound with the American DJ and producer Bianca Oblivion from LA to a musical soul mate who has as much of a passion for the powerful electronic niche sounds of the street as the Schlachthofbronx itself. An evening in the name of bass that will definitely shake the walls.

Another Munich institution when it comes to electronics Music, albeit in festival form, is in the Ritournelle. After its end at the Munich Kammerspiele, the “Festival for Advanced Electronic Dance Music” found a new home in the Blitz Club, where it is now blossoming again in the most colorful tones. This year’s line-up on October 18th includes DJ sets from the Hamburg minimal specialist Helena Hauffwhose tracks appear on the British cult label “Ninja Tune”, as well as one of the Berlin crossover electronic artists fashion selectoramong their collaboration partners Radiohead-Frontman Thom Yorke counted. On the other hand, there are also performances by the Nigerian MC Aunty Rayzorwhich combines stylistic elements from Afrobeat, Grime and R’n’B to create a wonderfully unique form of hip-hop; or the recently reunited British Murder Boyswho prefer to bring their Detroit Techno-trained sound live to the stage.

Behind the turntables at Pacha there will be a week later on October 25th with the Ukrainian DJ and producer Miss Monique again to discover an artist whose melodic progressive house finds an ideal balance between energy and soulfulness. The connection in question can be heard on their club hit “No Fear,” which was released in 2015 and whose title can now be seen as a succinctly encouraging slogan in politically tense times.

And finally to a team that is also interested in melodies and will captivate the audience in their own way on October 26th at the DNA Club. Here is the one who grew up near Erding Julian Wassermanwho always weaves his atmospheric tracks together from the finest particles between techno and tech house. There the one who primarily acts as a live act Moritz Hofbauerwho was already behind the decks as a 15-year-old, and on his debut “In A Blurry World”, released in 2023, with tracks like “Ice Cold” delivers elegant proof that techno can sometimes be a cold affair – but just nor does it have to be.
