The autopsy of the body found in Spain confirms that it is indeed Cédric Tauleygne

Since Sunday, everything suggested that the body found by a hunter on the slopes of Peña Oroel, in Spain, was that of Cédric Tauleygne. This man is suspected of having killed on July 4 in Pouyastruc, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, his wife Aurélie Pardon and Gabriel Fourmigué. Several identity documents in his name found near the remains had confirmed this track.

It has just been confirmed by the first results of the autopsy carried out by the Spanish authorities on Thursday morning, in the presence of members of the research section of the Toulouse gendarmerie.

“While the examining magistrate is awaiting the communication, by the Spanish authorities, of the final report of this technical operation, it already appears that the body’s dentition is compatible with Cédric Tauleygne’s dental panorama which was in the possession of French investigators”, indicates Rodolphe Jarry, the public prosecutor of Pau.

DNA analyzes in progress

The soldiers were able to obtain “genetic material from the body” which will be used to make comparisons with the DNA of the man suspected of having killed the two teachers. “The results of this expertise will come in the course of next week”, specifies the representative of the parquet floor of Pau.

On the day of the events, Cédric Tauleygne had shot the mother of his children as well as his teacher colleague whom she had recently approached. He then fled on a motorbike towards Spain. This is where the two-wheeler was found shortly after, not far from the area where the body was found.
