According to the media Sport News Africa, the Bleuets staff was not even aware that Yanis Issoufou had played with the African country. He was removed from the list for the match against Senegal, won by the young French on penalties, giving them access to the quarter-finals of the competition. But now the Senegalese Federation has just published a press release demanding the disqualification of France from this competition “for alignment of an ineligible player”. The Federation of the African country has also provided all the necessary proof and is based on article 24 of the competition regulations as well as article 8, b, the statutes and transfers of players.
