Born on April 27, 1932 in Paris under the name Nicole Dreyfus, she began her career in cinema in 1947 with a role in the film The House under the sea.
But she was especially revealed with her role as the dancer Lola, in the eponymous film by filmmaker Jacques Demy, for which she received a nomination for the Crystal Star for best actress, in 1961.
