The actress Anouk Aimée, heroine of the film A man and a woman in 1966, has just passed away at the age of 92, announced his daughter Manuela Papatakis on social networks.

“With my daughter, Galaad, and my granddaughter, Mila, we have the immense sadness to announce the departure of my mother Anouk Aimée,” she published on Instagram. “I was close to her when she died this morning, at her home in Paris.”

Julien Duvivier, Federico Fellini, Claude Lelouch, Jacques Demy, Sydney Lumet, George Cukor… Anouk Aimée has filmed in front of the cameras of the greatest filmmakers of her time.

Born in 1932 in Paris under the name Nicole Dreyfus, she began her career in cinema in the 1940s. It was in the 1960s and the New Wave that her career took off. Anouk Aimée thus plays in The good life and in Eight and a half by Federico Fellini, in Lolaby Jacques Demy – whom she found again in 1968 for Model Shop – and especially in A man and a woman by Claude Lelouch, with Jean-Louis Trintignant, a film which earned him an Oscar nomination.
