The 40th marathon races are this weekend (and there are places left)

The 40th edition of the Nantes marathon is indeed scheduled for this weekend, announce the organizers. The legendary 42.195 km race will start on Sunday at 9:15 a.m. from Les Machines de l’île.

The course, resolutely urban and mobile, will take the runners to the historic hypercentre, to the Parc de Procé, to the banks of the Erdre, to the Jardin des Plantes and then to the banks of the island of Nantes. Some 4,000 participants are expected. Registrations are closed.

10 km at night or 21 km early

On the other hand, he still places left for the other two individual races accompanying the marathon. Saturday evening, up to 7,000 bibs are expected for the very popular Elephant Strides (10 km), at night at 9:30 p.m. Registrations are still possible online until Thursday evening.

It is also still possible to register until Thursday evening to run the half-marathon (21 km), Sunday at 8:15 am, specify the organizers. Some 5,500 bibs are authorized. These two events will have as their starting and finishing point the Nefs des Machines de l’île.
