Tessa Thompson is the new face of Armani Beauty. The actress has a very special connection to the makeup line.
US actress Tessa Thompson (38) is the new face of Armani Beauty. The Italian company announced this in a press release. “Early on in my acting career, I used to do my own makeup for red carpet appearances – not always with success,” says the star. At her first big film premiere, she was made up for the first time by a professional, the “Page Change” actress recalls.
Armani is still one of her favorites when it comes to foundation, especially because of the wide range of colors. As a woman of color, it used to be difficult for her to find the right color for her skin tone. “Armani was one of the first brands to offer a wide range of colors,” says Thompson. “Our cultural notions of beauty are changing and becoming more inclusive.” Inclusivity is also a major concern for Giorgio Armani (87): “My idea of beauty applies to every woman, it underlines her personality and her uniqueness.” Tessa Thompson impressed the designer with “the dynamic energy she exudes”.
