The Tera yacht Pangeos – a small town on the water
This giant ship, shaped like a turtle, is the first draft of a floating city.
The name is Pangeos. This was inspired by the name of the supercontinent Pangea that existed many millions of years ago.
According to the Italian design studio Lazzarini, the ship is around 550 meters long and 610 meters wide.
The construction of this so-called Tera yacht is expected to cost up to 6.5 billion euros.
Up to 60,000 guests can be accommodated there. Hotels and shopping centers are also located on the ship.
The construction will also have habitable villas and penthouses.
For this purpose, it is to be equipped with its own helipad and its own solar system for generating electricity.
The front fins of the turtle are also said to generate energy by breaking the waves with the help of wave power plants.
Through these different methods of generating energy, the Tera yacht should be able to travel around the world without emissions.
With the help of the energy gained, the yacht should even be able to move at a speed of five knots. This corresponds to around 9.2 kilometers per hour.
The construction of this construction is estimated to take up to eight years. When and if the construction will be implemented is not yet certain.
