As expected, national coach Michael Kohlmann is counting on the two doubles specialists at the start of the second day (1 p.m. / Tennis Channel). The Swiss, on the other hand, have changed. Instead of the 21-year-old Leandro Riedi, the 37-year-old veteran Stan Wawrinka joins Dominic Stricker.
After the first day it is 1:1 in Trier. After Oscar Otte initially lost to Marc-Andrea Hüsler on Friday, Alexander Zverev equalized with a convincing win against Wawrinka. Zverev meets Hüsler on Saturday after the double, after which the duel between Otte and Wawrinka is scheduled. However, short-term changes are still possible.
