The third season of the loyalty test show “Temptation Island VIP” starts on October 4th. These celebrity couples walked out of the format separately.

Four reality couples put their relationships to the test on “Temptation Island VIP.” Who comes out of the loyalty test unscathed and whose liaison ends when they leave the show? The VIP version of the reality show will run for the third time starting October 4th on RTL+. These prominent predecessors went their separate ways after the show.

Drama with “Temptation” couple Calvin Kleinen and Roxy Zinger

Calvin Kleinen (30), who is now established as a reality star, did not resist the temptation in 2020 in the second season of the regular version of “Temptation Island”. He cheated on his then girlfriend Pia, with whom he had gone into the format, more than once. He made a name for himself as a womanizer without taboos. During his first participation in the format, he met Roxy Zinger (30), who had participated as one of the seductresses. Together they took part in “Temptation Island VIP” a little later.

Most viewers could have guessed that this would not go well. Although little ones had previously promised improvement, he let it rip again in the VIP version. But Zinger didn’t stay true to her partner during the show either and fell in love with stripper Jay. Unsurprisingly, in the show’s finale, Kleinen and Zinger decided they couldn’t be a couple. But Roxy Zinger and Jay’s relationship also failed. Since then, Calvin Kleinen has been happily romping through numerous reality formats, most recently he was seen on “Are You The One? – Realitystars in Love”.

In addition to the former “Temptation Island” couple, Jasmin Herren (43) and the now deceased Willi Herren (1975-2021) as well as Giulia Siegel (47) and partner Ludwig Heer (41) also took part. The “Love Island” couple Stephanie Schmitz (28) and Julian Evangelos (30) also put their relationships to the test. Despite crises, they all left the show as couples.

Henrik Stoltenberg and Paulina Ljubas broke off the experiment in tears

The second season of “Temptation Island VIP” was even more dramatic. For “Love Island” womanizer Henrik Stoltenberg (25) and “Cologne 50667” actress Paulina Ljubas (25), the story of Kleinen and Zinger seemed to repeat itself. Stoltenberg also promised to have given up his womanizer life and to be faithful. But after a few alcoholic drinks, he regularly seemed to forget that promise. Things escalated after he disappeared behind a bush during a night of partying with one of the seductresses.

Meanwhile, Ljubas drove the video sequences of her unfaithful boyfriend into the arms of another. The next love story began between her and seducer Dominik Brcic. But before the end of the show, Henrik Stoltenberg could no longer withstand the pressure and broke off his participation prematurely. So Ljubas had to leave “Temptation Island VIP” and her potential love partner. Between her and Stoltenberg there was a tearful and explosive discussion in front of the camera. Although the couple decided to give their relationship another chance, they announced their split on the show’s reunion show.

Just PR? Unsurprising separation from Emmy Russ and Udo Bönstrup

Compared to the first celebrity season, two relationships failed in the second. The reality stars Emmy Russ (23) and Udo Bönstrup (27) could not withstand the relationship test either. The satirist, whose real name is Hendrik Nitsch, and the influencer met in 2020 on “Celebrity Big Brother” and later allegedly fell in love. As soon as their relationship was announced, numerous fans smelled a PR gag. Russ and Bönstrup could not dispel doubts about the authenticity of their relationship even during their participation in “Temptation Island VIP”.

Unsurprisingly, viewers weren’t keen on fidelity. Russ showered with seducer Diogo Sangre and later slept with him. Bönstrup also got close to the women in the villa. When the well-known participants were shown scenes of each other at the campfire ceremonies, they always reacted with shock, but hardly seemed affected. Even the other participants questioned the authenticity of the unlikely couple’s relationship. Unsurprisingly, Emmy Russ and Udo Bönstrup split at the end of the show.

For the other two “Temptation Island VIP” participant pairs of the second season, however, there was a happy ending. Kate Merlan (35) and Jakub Jarecki (27) got engaged shortly after filming ended. Sandra Janina (23) and friend Juliano Fernandez also left the format stronger for the time being. At the beginning of September 2022, however, they announced the separation via Instagram.
