Robert McCarron, aka Dr. Bob, has been informing reality stars about the risks and side effects of disgust tests since the first jungle camp. Now he’s sick for the first time. Who will step in for him.

Jungle doctor Dr. Bob is sick. The trained paramedic, whose real name is Robert McCarron, is 20 years old RTL jungle camp has never been cancelled, as the broadcaster announced. In the episode of the reality show “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” scheduled for Wednesday evening on RTL+, Dr. Bob will be missing from a jungle test for the first time.

“He is actually sick,” announces presenter Sonja Zietlow. He is represented by Zietlow’s co-presenter Jan Köppen, who imitates the Australian’s look with a baseball cap and round glasses. On day 14 of the recorded show, he explains to the two candidates Elena Miras and Georgina Fleur what they can expect.

He cures a cold

Dr. Bob will also be missing from the episode on day 15. “The jungle doctor had to take a short break during the recording of the Legends Jungle Camp to recover from a cold,” says RTL. “But don’t worry: Of course Dr. Bob is not banning himself permanently. Shortly before the semi-finals, he will be back with his usual energy and expertise.” RTL+ will show the semi-finals as a stream on Friday evening.

Dr. Bob is not the only one who was signed off sick from this legendary jungle camp. “Moderator Jan Köppen also missed the start because he had to stay in bed with a fever.”
