Teachers or students, tell us about the commemoration in your establishment

On the eve of the anniversary date of the assassination of Samuel Paty, all schools in France will pay tribute this Friday to the history and geography teacher, killed for showing caricatures of Muhammad in class.

A minute of silence, class debates, screening of documentaries on secularism… It is up to the teaching teams to decide on the content of this tribute. Students will be able to participate from the CM1 class.

Pupils and teachers, tell us how this sequence went in your school. What form did the homage to Samuel Paty take? How did the students and teachers react? Was the emotion strong? In spite of everything, did some students refuse to make the minute’s silence or question the tribute?
