Tax haven Grünwald: community defends itself against suspicion – district of Munich

“There are also companies that are benefiting from the corona pandemic.” This quote from CSU local councilor Thomas Lindbüchl from the budget deliberations in Grünwald in 2020 can now be regarded as a prophecy. The municipality has had very high business tax revenues for many years, so the town hall feared that this could fall as a result of the pandemic. For 2021, the combing department predicted “only” 130 million euros – after 170 million a year before. But this year came the big surprise: 236 million euros were even received.
