Taufkirchen – elementary school should move in the Easter holidays – district of Munich

There is a new moving date for the elementary school at the forest in Taufkirchen – once again. As Mayor Ullrich Sander (independent) announced, the facility is to move from its previous location to the other side of Pappelstraße in the coming Easter holidays. “April 17 will be the first day of school in the new building,” said the mayor, before immediately adding: “At least that’s the current plan.”

Sander’s caution on the subject is not without reason, after all, the school’s move had to be postponed time and time again in recent years due to delays on the construction site. Completion by the end of 2020 was mentioned at the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony in autumn 2018, but this date was gradually corrected later. According to the mayor, with construction costs of around 35 million euros, the new elementary school in the forest is the largest single project in the history of the community.
