Taufkirchen – daycare fees rise again – district of Munich

Many parents in Taufkirchen have to pay more money again from the next year of childcare for their children to visit the crèche, kindergarten and after-school care center. As the social committee of the municipal council decided unanimously, the lower limit of the fees will be raised again in September 2022. This limit defines how much the facilities in the community must at least charge – although the fees are sometimes higher, according to social affairs officer Andreas Bayerle. According to Bayerle, the lower limit has already been increased for the current kindergarten year, which is why it should now remain unchanged in accordance with the usual two-year cycle.

However, due to increasing deficits in childcare in Taufkirchen, the district office had warned that there was a need for correction when reviewing the municipal budget. Therefore, the fees should be increased as early as next September, said Bayerle. Specifically, the lower limit is increased by five euros for a booking time of three to four hours per day – in kindergarten to 110 per month, in day care center to 115 and in crèche to 255 euros. For longer booking times, the fees increase by up to 8.50 euros.
