On Sunday evening he had his second assignment as Mads Andersen in the Bremen “Tatort”. But the future of Dar Salim in the ARD crime series is still unclear.

He brings some star power to the “Tatort”: While the most famous German actors are usually used in the ARD crime series, a star, Dar Salim, who lives and already lives in Denmark was hired for the restart of the Bremen team in May of this year has appeared in various top international productions.

The artist, who was born in Baghdad in 1977, has already been seen in the HBO global hit “Game of Thrones”, the Danish-Swedish crime series “Die Brücke – Transit in den Tod” or the Danish political series “Borgen”. He was also used as a consultant in German productions, for example in Til Schweiger’s hit film “Honig im Kopf” or in the comedy series “Jerks”.

In “Tatort” in Bremen, Salim plays the Dane Mads Andersen, who has to leave Copenhagen after working as an undercover agent and hides in Bremen for a while. Here he forms a team with his colleagues Liv Moormann (Jasna Fritzi Bauer) and the BKA officer Linda Selb (Luise Wolfram).

“Tatort” with Bar Salim – that’s the plan

But whether that has a future is currently in the stars. Because in the next episode from the Hanseatic city on the Weser, the angular Dane will not be there. Filming for the third case, which bears the working title “The End of Confidence”, began at the end of October without Salim.

The actor himself commented on his future in an interview with the SpotOn news agency – and did not want to commit to another engagement: “As far as the ‘crime scene’ is concerned, the production department needs more long-term planning for the development of the stories and my character concerns to continue to be there, “said Salim.

He does not seem convinced that he will continue to be there: “In any case, I can say that I am proud that I am a Bremen ‘Tatort’ inspector, no matter how long or short the trip will be.”

At Radio Bremen, however, they still seem to be planning with the Danish star: Such different team constellations were planned, the station said on its in-house website “Buten un Binnen” announced that the actors and actresses also appear in other productions.

So it looks as if the new three-man team, which is still in the development phase, can continue to grow together in the future.
