In addition to the inspectors, two women stand out in “Tatort: Masken”. Anne Ratte-Polle and Michelle Barthel play “Mother and Daughter”.

In “Tatort: Masken” (November 28th, 8:15 pm, the first) Anne Ratte-Polle (born 1974, “Dreams are like wild tigers”) and Michelle Barthel (28, “golden boys”) play the policewomen Katrin and Jessica Hartmann, who introduce themselves as “mother and daughter”. “Tatort” fans should look familiar to the two artists because they are real Sunday crime stars.

Anne Ratte-Polle already played with “Schimanski”

Ratte-Polle also had a leading role in the episode almost exactly a year ago in “Tatort: The Holidays of Monsieur Murot” (November 22, 2020, the first) with actor Ulrich Tukur (64) in the title role. At that time she embodied Monika Boenfeld, the wife and murderer of the Murot doppelganger. The artist, who was born in Lower Saxony, was previously featured in seven other Sunday crime novels, including as a rape victim and murderer in “Schimanski: Shift in the Shaft” (2008) with film star Götz George (1938-2016).

She was able to celebrate her latest really big success with “It is the spoken word” (2019) by the Berlin director Ilker Çatak (37). For her portrayal of the pilot Marion Bach, who enters into a marriage of convenience with the Kurdish male prostitute Baran, she won the Bavarian Film Prize; she was nominated for the German Film Prize in the category of best female leading role.

Michelle Barthel was already in front of the “crime scene” camera as a teen

And Michelle Barthel was even featured in a Sunday thriller earlier this year. In the Franconian “crime scene: where is Mike?” she played the imaginary friend Coco of the mentally ill Titus, who was the only one who knew where little Mike was. Before that, the actress, who was born in Remscheid in the Bergisches Land in 1993, was featured in six other Sunday crime novels. In her first crime thriller – the Cologne “Tatort: Schmale Shoulder” (2010) – she was still a teen. Back then she played the young Laura, who secretly ransacked the apartment of her father’s new friend in order to annoy her and who is suspected of murder.

Michelle Barthel is a Grimme Prize winner. She received the prestigious award plus other international prizes for the lead role in the social drama “Keine Angst” (2009) from the Berlin director Aelrun Goette (55).
