An ass, tears … What to remember from the 47th ceremony

We saw little pleasure and more discomfort on Friday evening, during the 47th Cesar ceremony which took place at L’Olympia. Cate Blanchett is to receive an honorary Caesar on Friday evening. It will be given to her by Isabelle Huppert, with whom she had shared the stage in an adaptation of Good, by Jean GenetSydney (2013) and New York (2014).

After an exceptional year for French cinema with the Palme d’Or awarded to Titanium by Audrey Ducournau and the Golden Lion awarded to The Event by Audrey Diwan, will the Cesar ceremony finally reward female talents more? The 47th Cesar ceremony, organized under the supervision of Véronique Cayla and filmmaker Éric Toledano, will take place on February 25 at the Olympia.
