Tadej Pogacar and the poison of suspicion on the roads of the Tour

“Stunned”, “killed”, “annihilated”, these are words that we keep hearing from the commentators of the Tour de France, to evoke the beginning of the adventure of the Slovenian rider Tadej Pogacar, whose the performance and attitude on the bike impress as much as they question. With, as a backdrop, the omnipresent shadow of the mad scientist Lance Armstrong, a sort of standard value of suspicion in the probity of cyclists, after years spent on the Tour loaded like a mule at the airport of Bogota, lying like an eye-to-eye tooth puller to fans and media. But should we throw Pogacar in the same basket? This is the difficult question we ask ourselves in this new issue of Mixed Zone.
