Status: 08/26/2021 8:48 p.m.

A nurse is said to have drawn up syringes with saline solutions instead of vaccines in the Friesland district. Now the investigation is also leading to searches in a completely different case.

The public prosecutor and the police are also investigating five employees of the German Red Cross (DRK) at the Schortens vaccination center on suspicion of accounting fraud. There were searches on Thursday. Several buildings of the German Red Cross (DRK) and the vaccination center in Schortens, which is operated by the DRK, were affected. According to the police, the accused belong to the DRK district associations Jeverland and Varel-Friesische Wehde. Between February and July, they are said to have billed more hours of work by the staff employed in the Schortens vaccination center than were actually worked. According to the information, initial samples from hourly statements submitted to the Friesland district already indicate damage in the four-digit range. The exact amount must now be determined, it said.

Searched vaccination center, business premises and homes

More than 40 police officers searched the vaccination center in Schortens on Thursday.

To secure evidence, the eight-member Soko “vaccine” searched six buildings on Thursday – most of them in the Friesland district. In addition to the vaccination center in Schortens-Roffhausen, the business premises of the DRK district associations Jeverland and Varel-Friesische Wehde, the DRK regional association Oldenburg and private apartments of DRK employees have been checked, it said. More than 40 police officers secured files, computers, laptops, tablets and cell phones, among other things, which are now to be evaluated.

District of Friesland announces cooperation with DRK

“We very much welcome the public prosecutor’s and police’s educational work and support the investigative work,” said District Administrator Sven Ambrosy (SPD). As a victim of the alleged fraud, the district of Friesland has already taken action in consultation with the state. Ambrosy terminated the cooperation with the DRK in the vaccination center without notice on Thursday. The trust is no longer there, said Ambrosy to the NDR in Lower Saxony. The Johanniter now take over the operation of the vaccination center. The operation is guaranteed, appointments would remain. However, there could be waiting times until everything has settled in, so Ambrosy continues.

Vaccination scandal was exposed in April

The Soko “vaccine” apparently noticed the irregularities during their investigations against a former DRK employee who is said to have manipulated syringes in the Schortens corona vaccination center. In April, the accused, registered nurse, admitted that he had six syringes for corona vaccinations in the vaccination center in Schortens Having topped up with saline. A vial with vaccine fell down while mixing, which she wanted to cover up, the woman said. Recently, however, the district of Friesland and the police had announced that, according to further testimony, it could not be ruled out that she had drawn up further syringes with saline solution. “The investigation is ongoing,” said the police on Thursday. In order to catch up on the possibly ineffective vaccinations, a total of around 10,000 affected people should therefore be re-vaccinated as a precautionary measure. The accused’s lawyer recently announced that his client’s act on April 21 was an isolated incident.

Complex investigations around the vaccination incident

The “Vaccine” investigation team had only been set up by the police last week to advance the investigation into the case of possible saline vaccinations. The Oldenburg Police Vice-President Andreas Sagehorn had stated that the scope and complexity of these investigations had increased significantly in the past few weeks and months. It is therefore necessary to broaden the investigation work.

Is the nurse opposed to vaccination?

Last had the “mirrors“reports that an employee of the vaccination center is said to have warned her superiors at the DRK about the now accused nurse five days before the case became known on April 24th. Accordingly, the alleged opponent of the vaccination is said to have sent texts and videos with conspiracy fantasies to the witness in chats. Loud “Spiegel” forwarded the news to her superiors, but they are said not to have reacted, and the police did not provide any further information on request.
