SZ Podcast “On the Point” – News from March 5th, 2022 – Politics

The situation in the major Ukrainian cities has recently deteriorated, especially for civilians. This Saturday, for the first time, a ceasefire was to apply to the encircled and heavily shelled Mariupol and the city of Wolnowacha. There should be humanitarian corridors to care for and evacuate people.

First, the evacuation of Mariupol was then postponed again, the city accused Russian troops of not complying with the ceasefire. Nevertheless, we will be talking about such humanitarian corridors more often in the coming days. Stefan Korenelius, head of the SZ political department, explains why and why the Ukrainian President Selensky is making serious accusations against NATO.
