The 77-year-old had herself tested: she did not contract Covid-19. In order not to infect anyone, she stays away from the world exhibition in Dubai, according to the royal family.

Sweden’s Queen Silvia is sick and has therefore canceled a trip to the world exhibition in Dubai. The 77-year-old born in Heidelberg has a cold, as a spokeswoman for the royal family confirmed to the German press agency on Tuesday.

Silvia did a test and was not sick with Covid-19. Out of respect for the other participants, she decided not to travel to Dubai. Her husband, King Carl XVI. Gustaf (75) wanted to visit the expo from Tuesday to Thursday as planned.

Actually, the two had wanted to travel to the Expo together with a Swedish delegation. Sweden focuses on innovation and sustainability in its Expo pavilion.

Silvia was last at the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm City Hall on Friday (December 10th). She attended the event in honor of this year’s Nobel Prize winners together with the King, her daughter Crown Princess Victoria (44) and her husband Prince Daniel (48).
