Green investment is the trend. But as is the case with trends, they always attract a horde of free riders. With clever marketing, many fund companies are now trying to paint their ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) green in particular. Completely legal because so far there are hardly any guidelines as to when a fund is really sustainable and when not. The issuers can call whatever green they want. It is always up to the investor whether he takes what is promised to him at face value.
