Suspects identified after throwing bottles at police officers – Bavaria

After the attacks on police officers at a loud party in Ostheim vor der Rhön in Lower Franconia (Rhoen-Grabfeld district), two suspects aged 16 and 19 were investigated. Another 16-year-old had to answer, among other things, for aiding and abetting attempted dangerous bodily harm, said the police headquarters in Lower Franconia on Wednesday. In addition, a 15-year-old is under investigation for insult and trespassing.

Because they wanted to break up the party in early January, police officers were thrown at with bottles and a firecracker. The officers also had to endure massive insults, the police said. When the emergency services arrived, the celebration was broken up with the help of the 19-year-old organizer and loudspeaker announcements. A group of 50 people between the ages of 17 and 25 then suddenly attacked the police. The suspects were identified through numerous interrogations, bodycam recordings, around 15 tips and research on social media.
