Three quarters rate the climate in the traffic light government as bad

A large majority thinks that the mood between the SPD, the Greens and the FDP is miserable. When it comes to implementing the government’s plans, they see the liberals in particular as the brakes.
According to a survey, around a year and a half after taking office, the mood between the coalition partners SPD, Greens and FDP is bad according to a large majority of Germans.
Three quarters of those questioned expressed themselves accordingly in the new ZDF “Politbarometer”. Only 16 percent described the coalition climate as good, as the broadcaster announced. In the past few days there had been heated arguments between the partners about the planned heating law.
According to 34 percent of those surveyed, the fact that some government projects are only making sluggish progress is mainly due to the FDP. 18 percent named the Greens, 3 percent the SPD. For 37 percent, all three partners are equally responsible.
Around half (51 percent) of those surveyed also found that the government was doing its job rather poorly. Only 41 percent spoke of rather good work. Only 22 percent believe that things would be better with a federal government led by the Union. 25 percent are convinced of the opposite. 48 percent see no difference here.
Pistorius most popular politician
In the assessment of individual politicians, Chancellor Olaf Scholz was able to improve significantly compared to the survey at the beginning of May. On a scale of plus 5 to minus 5, the SPD politician now has a value of 0.5 after 0.1 before. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) is clearly ahead with a value of 2.0. According to ZDF, Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) falls to his worst value to date at minus 0.6 (previously minus 0.2).
In the Sunday question, the SPD can easily improve by one percentage point to 20 percent. The Union, on the other hand, loses two points, but is clearly ahead with 28 percent. The AfD is in third place with 17 percent, an increase of two percentage points. The Greens (-1) would currently be elected by 16 percent if there were a general election on Sunday. FDP and Left remain at 6 and 5 percent respectively.
