Stromae, Orelsan, Angèle… Discover the nominees of the 38th edition

Belgian artists have a place of choice at the Victoires de la Musique. While Stromae is cited in four categories for the 38th edition of the ceremony which rewards French-speaking musical artists, Angèle is cited in three categories. The same goes for rapper Orelsan. Stromae, back after a break imposed by a burn-out, is in the running for the trophies of male artist, of the album (Multitude), of the song (hell) and audiovisual creation of the year for the music video sons of joy.

We will hear a lot about Belgium during the ceremony which will take place on February 10, since Pierre de Maere, another artist from this country, wins with two nominations, while Mentissa, also Belgian, is mentioned once.

In 2022, the Victoires de la Musique had been crushed by Orelsan and Clara Luciani. The rapper had scored a hat-trick in the categories male artist, song (The smell of gasoline) and audiovisual creation of the year for his documentary never show that to anyone. The singer had achieved a double with the trophy of female artist and the price of the album of the year (Heart).
