“This is the beginning of the fight until withdrawal!!“, writes the CGT Mines Energie federation in a leaflet on social networks, announcing “more than 7000 MW reduction in production without any impact on users“. EDF agents whose special pension scheme must disappear for new hires if the reform is adopted, had started production cuts on Wednesday evening, in particular on the dams of Cheylas (Isère), Pied-de-Borne (Lozère) or Sallèles (Ardèche). French nuclear reactors produce between 900 and 1,450 MW of electricity.
