In the action comedy “Wolfs,” Brad Pitt and George Clooney play two criminal crime scene cleaners. However, the plot is secondary in a joint film by the friendly duo.

If When Brad Pitt and George Clooney release a new film together, it almost doesn’t matter what it’s about. The two are Hollywood’s cult stars – and as a duo they have a special charm. Viewers have seen this in the popular “Ocean’s” film series or the black comedy “Burn After Reading.”

They are also friends in private. At public appearances, Pitt (60) and Clooney (63) encourage each other to play new jokes. This was recently observed at the Venice Film Festival, where the two’s joint appearance attracted large crowds of fans.

Pitt and Clooney play crime scene cleaners

Pitt and Clooney presented “Wolfs” in Italy. In Jon Watts’ action comedy, they play two criminal crime scene cleaners who are forced to work together against their will. The film has the slightly silly humor that we know from other films the two have made together. The two protagonists have to make a young man who is believed to be dead disappear, but who suddenly wakes up again.

“Wolfs” only works because Pitt and Clooney play the main roles – and are incredibly laid-back. The two effortlessly show that they basically don’t have to do anything except be there and talk to each other. All it takes is a special look from Pitt, a hesitation and a raised eyebrow, and the audience is laughing.

Clooney: “It was all about money”

As a viewer, you shouldn’t take the film too seriously – and neither should the actors. Pitt and Clooney take great pleasure in poking fun at each other in “Wolfs”. Reading glasses are unpacked and your back hurts when you bend over.

What made them work together again? The restraining order had expired, Pitt joked in Venice – before Clooney added: “It was all about the money.”

“Wolfs” will be available on Apple TV+ starting Friday (September 27).
