Stormy degradation in the East and high heat in the Southeast on the program for this Monday

Monday’s weather will be dominated by a stormy deterioration in the East and still hot weather in the South-East, where 13 departments remain on orange heat wave vigilance.

The day will start under clouds over the western half of the country with light showers that may occur. A few isolated thunderstorms may be heard from the morning from Limousin to the Centre. On the east facade, the sun will shine from the early hours of the day, but a cloudy veil will quickly reach the regions from Auvergne to Alsace.

A few hailstorms

The sky will become threatening over the hours and stormy showers will break out in the morning, from Languedoc to the North-East. In the afternoon, these storms will affect the regions of Provence in the Center-East. A few hailstorms will be possible as far as the Alps and will be accompanied by significant electrical activity.

On the west of France, the afternoon will take place under a variable sky, except on the Pyrenean foothills where the clouds will remain clinging to the relief, giving light rains. Rare showers may also fall on the Channel coasts, where the westerly wind will be sustained, blowing in gusts between 60/70 km/h.

Maximums at 38 degrees

The minimums will show 14 to 18 degrees in the North-West, up to 19 degrees in the Paris region. Elsewhere we expect between 16 and 21 degrees, 20 to 24 degrees near the Mediterranean.

The maximum will show 20 to 25 on the Channel coasts and the Atlantic coast, 26 to 31 in general on the country, up to 34 in the plain of Alsace and 33 to 38 degrees in Provence and in the Rhone valley.
